Xstrahl has just returned from Milan, Italy, where it joined other leading system and software manufacturers to showcase the latest advances in radiation oncology at the annual European Society for Radiotherapy & meeting.
This year’s show theme was targeting optimal care together, and Xstrahl took the chance to demonstrate how its systems continue to support this theme.
Xstrahl’s primary product launch was its innovative new 150kV treatment system, a fully redesigned and improved superficial radiotherapy system optimized for treating skin cancers. A one-stop shop for non-melanoma skin cancer treatments, the new Xstrahl 150 offers its usual ease-of-use and flexibility but also has a fully rebuilt interior, meaning it can now offer built-in dosimetry, filter and applicator recognition, featherlight manoeuvrability and the option of oval applicators.
Xstrahl also spotlighted the RADiant dual-modality superficial treatment system, capable of delivering both SRT and electronic brachytherapy, and offering smart, simple and successful skin cancer treatments up to 80kV.
To support both these new systems, Xstrahl has recently launched a new free, open to everyone Xstrahl Learning Platform. This comprehensive free resource provides all current and future radiotherapy professionals with access to over 30 years of radiotherapy knowledge and experience from the Xstrahl clinical panel.
In addition, Xstrahl’s Life Science group exhibited the Small Animal Radiation Research Platform, the most advanced commercially available 3D image guided micro irradiator. An increasing number of scientific papers presented at ESTRO events involve pre-clinical work carried out on SARRP systems.
