RADiant System

Xstrahl have worked with clinicians to develop a system that will allow an even greater number of patients to choose this surgery free, non-invasive treatment option. With a focus on cure, RADiant is the evolution in the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers.

Utilising trusted and clinically proven low energy photons, in a dedicated treatment system, RADiant provides a pain free, non-surgical alternative for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer, especially those found in sensitive areas of the head and neck. With no surgical scarring, the cosmetic results are excellent.

Less stressful from the outset, the flexibiliy of the unit and unique design means that the patient can be treated in a position comfortable to them, whilst ensuring accurate application. This means that healthy skin isn’t effected, allowing the treatment to have as small an impact on the patient’s day-to-day life.

The RADiant System has been designed to move around the clinic and from room to room, meaning no lengthy installations. The unit’s small footprint allows for the adaptability of a busy treatment room, and its mobility makes for better use of space within the treatment room. Its low energy and short exposure times means the treatment room requires less shielding compared to a higher energy systems as well.

RADiant System Software

Accurate application using RADiant’s unique halo ring applicators ensures that healthy skin isn’t affected, the treatment is pain-free, and treatment times are lowered.

The RADiant system comes with five electronic brachytherapy applicators as standard, however an additional three superficial applicators can be purchased to give the widest range of flexibility.

The applicators are interlocked in the head of the treatment machine, ensuring any exposure may only be delivered with the correct applicator attached. The applicators have clear Perspex® viewing ends, which allow the radiographers to accurately position the applicator to achieve skin apposition prior to treatment. In addition the electronic brachytherapy applicators each have an intergrated halo ring.

Xstrahl is devoted to ensuring you have the best applicators for your needs, and so we offer bespoke applicator creation on request, additional standardized applicators, focal spot applicators, and our new range of oval applicators, designed to be used between the boundary of the lip and facial skin.
