Xstrahl Announces Landmark Education Program for SARRP Users to Advance Preclinical Radiation Research

SUWANEE, GEORGIA – [October 9, 2025] – Xstrahl announced today the development of an extensive education series for the Small Animal Radiation Research Platform (SARRP). This innovative program, hosted on Penn Medicine’s award-winning cancer information website, OncoLink, will provide global SARRP users with unparalleled access to expert-led tutorials and resources in preclinical Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT).

Preclinical IGRT is a sophisticated research area demanding specialized expertise in preclinical biology, radiotherapy, and medical physics. While Xstrahl provides comprehensive training and ongoing support with every SARRP installation, experts from Penn Medicine, which has 15 years of deep experience with SARRP, will contribute the program content.

The SARRP Education Series will feature a full program of on-demand modules designed to guide users from basic experimental settings to the most complex non-coplanar beam delivery techniques, as well as the opportunity to attend in-person training sessions to gain hands-on experience. Content will encompass practical system use, crucial aspects like Quality Assurance (QA) and calibration, and advanced treatment planning. In addition to online learning, the SARRP Education Series offers hands-on training opportunities, milestone tests to track progress, and exclusive education on the newly launched MuriSuite, the next-generation control software.

“We believe that providing the world’s most advanced preclinical research platform means more than just supplying hardware”, says Adrian Treverton, CEO of Xstrahl. “It means empowering users with the knowledge and skills needed to master complex techniques to confidently drive their research forward. This partnership ensures that every SARRP user, regardless of location, has the opportunity access to world-class SARRP education.”

The SARRP Education Series is set to launch in the Spring of 2026. Sign up to be the first to know when registration opens.
