Dermatologists are frequently leading the way in the diagnosis and management of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). While Mohs surgery is the standard of care in the treatment of NMSC, the final decision on treatment for the patient should be based on their health, age, medical conditions, work and lifestyles. Both the NCCN and the American Academy of Dermatology provide guidelines for the use of radiation as a treatment alternative for NMSC when surgery is not an option.
In this webinar, John Q. Binhlam, MD, FAAD, of Advanced Skin & Laser Center and Binhlam Aesthetics, describes the use of superficial radiation therapy (SRT) and electronic brachytherapy (eBt) to treat NMSC in his dermatology practice.
