What do you do at Xstrahl?
As a Service Engineer, I make sure our systems are working well for our customers. I perform system installation, repair, and preventive maintenance. On days that I’m not in the field, I’m responding to service tickets and/or preparing for upcoming service trips. While in the office, I also sometimes work on the development system or perform acceptance checks on systems due to be delivered to the customer or that may have been returned to the company for various reasons.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I love this question! I have lost some close relatives to cancer. I love being part of a company that is part of the research and treatment of this serious disease and a range of other conditions that affect people’s lives. We are providing the systems that our incredible research and clinical customers use to study and treat cancer and beyond. That’s important to me, and I love being even a small part of making this happen.
What’s the weirdest job you ever had before working here?
I’d have to say pest control! It was fun because I got to meet a lot of new people and interact with customers, but some of the service request were for weird things like bats and bed bugs…ugh!
What can you be found doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I can be found tinkering on a lot of projects when I’m not out on my Harley! I really enjoy working with my hands, so I’m always fixing something, whether it be for myself or someone else. I enjoy projects big and small, from house to cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Prior to traveling for Xstrahl, you could also find me on a soccer field or T-ball diamond as a coach. I love watching my players progress throughout the season!
