The Application of Superficial Radiation Therapy in Dermatology for NMSC

Interactive Webcast on Wednesday, August 24, at 12:30 PM CDT

The incidence of non-melanoma skin cancer is increasing dramatically worldwide and dermatologists play a critical role in diagnosing these cases and overseeing high-quality patient care. Although many patients are referred out for treatment, many dermatology practices are now expanding their service offerings by adding office-based, superficial radiation therapy to treat basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. Low energy radiation is used to kill skin cancer cells with X-ray energy – similar to the type of X-rays used by dentists in office.

Join Xstrahl and Dr. Michael Crowe from Owensboro Dermatology Associates, as he briefly describes why he added X-ray therapy to his practice, highlights tips for getting started, and reviews patient selection criteria and outcomes. Dr. Crowe will be available for Q&A following the presentation.
